New England Patriots win over Atlanta Falcons, 24-21
The New England Patriot’s win over the Atlanta Falcons was their eighth straight victory.
The Patriots had won their last seven games.
They opened the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Julian Edelman with 1:10 left in the first quarter.
Edelman had two catches for 24 yards and a touchdown and the Patriots scored two more points in the second quarter on a 28-yard run by Julian Edelen and another by receiver Wes Welker.
The Falcons took a 17-0 lead into halftime after Brady completed 6 of 7 passes for 107 yards.
The two teams split the rest of the game.
Brady threw for a career-high 331 yards and five touchdowns, but he also was sacked twice.
He finished 21 of 38 for 265 yards and three interceptions.
He completed 20 of 37 passes for 268 yards and one touchdown.
