A new burger recipe from chef-turned-nutritionist Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver has been one of the biggest names in the food industry since his early days as a food journalist.
Now, he’s a celebrity chef, with a new restaurant in Los Angeles.
But in his kitchen, the chef-singer has taken a new direction, introducing a new menu to the public and expanding his menu to include vegetarian and vegan options.
In this episode of Food and Wine, Oliver reveals that his beef barbacao burger was inspired by a real-life burger restaurant in Texas.
“This was an experience I had while working in Houston, where there was a real restaurant that I had never been to before,” Oliver says in a video that aired in April.
“We did a couple things here that we thought were great.
We wanted to do a burger that was more like a barbecue.
It was more of a hamburger, but it was beef.
We tried to go a little bit different.
The idea is that when you eat beef, it’s not just a beef burger, it really is a beef barbecue.”
Oliver’s beef barbacho burger has become a hit among diners, with one person calling it one of their favorites.
The burger comes with ground beef, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, tomatoes and a drizzle of sour cream.
“The sauce is very, very salty and sour,” Oliver told Eater.
“It’s sort of a smoky sauce.
It’s kind of like a bbq sauce.
And it’s the perfect thing to eat at this time of the year.”
Oliver has expanded his menu of beef barbasos to include a variety of different dishes including smoked chicken and pork belly, which is served with a side of grilled red onions, cilantro and black olives.
And he’s even released a beef bbap, an entree featuring ground beef on a bread roll.
In a video he shared last year, Oliver said he thought his beef bbc was a perfect way to end a busy week.
“I had no idea it was going to be such a hit,” Oliver said at the time.
“A week later, I’m like, ‘Wow, this is amazing.'”
Now, Oliver’s burger has been a hit at the restaurant he opened, The New Jamie, where it’s sold out.
The restaurant is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but Oliver says he can open at any time.
The chef says his burger is the best he’s ever had.
“You know, I really think it’s my favorite burger,” Oliver explains.
“Because the only thing better than that is the one you’ve never had.
It is one of those things that I have to try.”
