New York City mayor wants beef negimi at restaurants
NEW YORK — New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday he wants beef meat and seafood at all restaurants.
The announcement comes as the city prepares to host a major trade show and trade event in New York, which will include talks with the European Union and China.
A New York Times article in July said the city was considering banning the meat from restaurants, and a spokeswoman said that was one of several proposals.
The proposal is similar to one made by Gov.
Andrew Cuomo, who also proposed banning beef and pork from restaurants.
